New Plantation Key Kayak Launch

The new kayak launch is located at MM 90.8 / bayside at the enterance of Tavernier Creek Marina in the Plantation Tropical Preserve.

Access to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Florida Bay are just minutes away via Tavernier Creek.

A grant program allowed the Village of Islamorada to fund this project, give a thanks to the Islamorada Public Works and elected Village official for making this happen.

The Islamorada Historical Bike Tour has become a favorite of many, teaching historical and fun factoids. The creator and guide, Mark Terrill, is a self taught Islamorada history buff. Join Mark each Sunday morning for this 2 hour spin around Upper Matecumbe Key (1 of the 4 islands that make up Islamorada). This easy, 4 mile excursion, will give you a much keener appreciation of the history of Islamorada.
